Síntesis de carbonato de litio a partir de masas negras procedentes de baterías NMC de vehículos eléctricos

Abstract

La mayor parte de las baterías de vehículos eléctricos contienen un electrolito formado principalmente por LiF6P. Este electrolito, forma parte de las masas negras obtenidas en los procesos de reciclado de las baterías que se lleva a cabo, inicialmente, mediante procesos de trituración y clasificación. Las masas negras estudiadas (mezcla de ánodo, cátodo y electrolito con pequeñas cantidades de Al y Cu procedentes de carcasas y envoltorios de celdas), se someten a una reacción de hidrólisis que permite recuperar el litio contenido en los productos de degradación del electrolito en forma de Li2CO3. En este trabajo, se estudia este proceso de recuperación de litio y un proceso adicional que permite recuperar el litio procedente del cátodo y contenido en la masa negra.
