Nuevas subfamilias de manganeso peroxidasas en hongos lignocelulolíticos

Abstract

Las manganeso peroxidasas (MnPs) son enzimas capaces de despolimerizar la lignina en reacciones mediadas por manganeso, y son las peroxidasas más abundantemente secretadas por los hongos ligninolítcos. Todas las MnPs caracterizadas hasta la fecha presentan un sitio de oxidación de Mn2+ formado por dos glutamatos y un aspartato.Sin embargo, recientes análisis genómicos han descubierto nuevas subfamilias de MnPs con sitios catalíticos “atípicos”. En este estudio se analizan dos de estas nuevas MnPs secretadas por los hongos Agaricales Agrocybe pediades (Ape-MnP1) y Cyathus striatus (Cst-MnP1), identificando los residuos específicos que oxidan el Mn2+, y evaluando su capacidad para actuar sobre lignina real.
