Abstract

[EN] Several historiographical and ecdotical considerations are offered on the recent edition of the Historia de las Indias by F. López de Gómara, produced by the House of Velázquez in its ‘Sources’ collection, released in 2021 shortly before a version without notes in the collection Castro, by different authors. Attention is focused on this edition of the work in one case, and on the conception of a critical edition in both cases, as well as on the partial general relevance of this work on Indian chronicles and the royal politics related to it.
