II. Cultivares de Lolium.

Abstract

[EN]IS has been studied the variation in mineral composition (ashes, N, P, K. Ca. Mg, Fe. Mn, Na. Cu and Zn) along the plant maturity in four cultivars of Lolium perenne and four of Lolium multiflorum. Ashes N. P, K, Fe, Mn and Zn concentrations diminish with maturity although not quite clearly those of Zn in some cultivan. Ca and Mg usually decrease at the beginning to increase later on in the last stages. Na and Cu do not show a generalized tendency. L. perenne reaches mean levels in ashes, N, P, K, Mg, Na, Fe and Zn superior to those of L. multiflorum though inferior in Ca, Mn and Cu. The values fluctuation margings are remarkably wide in Fe, Cu and Na. The uptakes follow incrising lines with the advance of maturity, being also higher the mean uptakes in L. perenne. The cultivars cover the animal minimum necessities in K at any time while they are insufficient in Zn. In all other elements cultivars can be occasionally deficient.
