Study on the possible contribution of XVI-XVII century Catholic thought to (i) the theological affirmation of the dual purpose of being human, (ii) the frustration of a Catholic political philosophy that would lead to representative and participatory systems, and connection therewith, (iii) the issue of religious freedom and tolerance, (iv) the pure frustration also progress, particularly clear in the field of science, (v) reduction of Catholicism to moral, (vi) finally, the absence of a theological reflection on the laity.
