El trabajo aborda la consolidación de la Documentación como disciplina científica en España desde diferentes perspectivas: formación, desarrollo profesional, asociacionismo, producción científica y mercado de productos y servicios.

[EN] Adapted from the author's doctoral thesis, defended in December 1991 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The paper deals the consolidation of documentation as a scientific discipline in Spain from different perspectives: training, professional development, associations, scientific production and products and services market.
