Abstract

Campaña Oceanográfica realizada por el Instituto Español de Oceanografía en Baleares a bordo del buque "Xauen" para realizar un estudio biológico marino de la zona. - Distribución de la fauna marina. - Realiza un estudio de la bionomía y de los factores que en ella influyen en la bahía de Palma de Mallorca. - Naturaleza de los fondos y batilitología. Atendiendo a la vegetación divide los fondos de la bahía de Palma en: de arena (sin vegetación); praderas de posidonia (dominio de Posidonia caulini); pradera de Caulerpa (dominio de Caulerpa prolifera); cascajo (con abundancia de especies del género Lithothamnion y Lithophyllum; Avellanó (Asociación de Peyssonnelia squamaria y Lithophyllum expansum; Herba crespa (con dominio de Vidalia volubilis). Distribución en los fondos de la bahía de peces, holoturoideos, crustáceos y de diferentes especies de Porifera, Coelenterata, Annelida, Mollusca y Bryozoa. - Batilitología y bionomía de la isla de Cabrera. Flora y fauna marina de la zona: algas, angiospermas, esponjas, celentéreos, platelmintos, anélidos, gefíreos, Artrópodos, moluscos, equinodermos, tunicados y peces. - Características de la planicie continental de la costa Sudoeste de la isla de Mallorca. Naturaleza de los fondos, distribución de especies habitantes de la zona. - Estudio biológico de las bahías de Pollensa y Alcudia. Características geográficas de ambas bahías. Distribución de las especies habitantes de la zona. - Ordena las especies capturadas a bordo del Xauen en las costas de Mallorca, por fondos, según la profundidad haciendo constar en que pesca se lograron (peces, equinodermos, moluscos, crustáceos, algas).
