¿Para qué sirve la ciencia?

[ES] En este artículo se indica la importancia que ha tenido, y tiene, la búsqueda del conocimiento a través de la investigación científica básica para lograr el bienestar y el progreso de la sociedad. En base a esa importancia, se propone que la investigación científica (experimental) básica debe ser incrementada y, además, complementada con el hecho de que el ciudadano responsable debe tener una mayor implicación y participación en el conocimiento de la cultura científica

[EN] In this article, it is described how the increase of knowledge, through the basic research, has facilitated the welfare and prosperity of the human being. Based on that, we propose an increase in basic research and that the basic research should be complemented with an increase in the involvement and participation of the average and responsible citizen in the scientific culture
