Abstract

[EN] This article contains the results of the archaeological excavation of a site near the main street of islamic Murcia. In the rear sector of the site’s western area two andalusian houses were found and two shops that face to the public street, following the typical urban organization of the islamic markets. It was possible to record several constructive stages of the houses, that show the evolution of this architectural type from the caliphal period up to some centuries after the christian conquest.
