Causas de las deformidades en madera estructural de "Pinus nigra"

Abstract

[ES] Sobre un total de 948 piezas de madera aserrada de Pinus nigra, de dimensiones en seco de 150 x 50 x x 3.000 mm, procedentes todas ellas de 22 árboles en turno, apeados en 4 localizaciones distintas del Parque Nacional de Cazorla y Segura (Jaén), se estudia la influencia de la calidad de estación, de los individuos y de la posición de los tablones dentro de cada árbol, sobre las deformaciones de cara, canto, alabeo y atejado presentes en la madera y medidas según describe la norma española UNE 56.544. Se analiza la concordancia entre el porcentaje de piezas rechazadas y el alabeo medio por troza, así como la influencia del sitio, árbol y troza sobre el alabeo medio de las piezas. Se discute sobre la influencia relativa de cada factor en el nivel de rechazo de tablones, concluyéndose que el factor más decisivo es la variabilidad intratroza (> 50 %), seguido de la variabilidad interárbol (> 40 %). El factor localización apenas si llega a explicar algo más del 2 % de la variabilidad observada en el porcentaje de rechazos por deformaciones excesivas. Se apunta la posibilidad de perfeccionar los métodos de clasificación en rollo de la madera disponible antes de proceder a su aserrado y secado para permitir aumentar el rendimiento industrial.
