Estrategias precosecha para reducir mermas de producción en el melocotón tardío de Aragón

Abstract

El cultivo del melocotón en España tiene gran importancia, con una su­perficie cercana a las 50.000 ha, que en 2018 produjeron 903.800 t (Anuario de Estadística, MAPA 2019). Sólo la comarca aragonesa del Bajo Aragón-Cas­pe produce más de 50.000 t de melocotón tardío de muy buenas cualidades or­ga­nolépticas, como son la textura firme y el sabor dulce. Este melocotón presenta una particularidad en su manejo que es el em­bolsado de los frutos, se trata una técnica agronómica cuyo objetivo es mitigar el ataque de mosca (Ceratitis capitata) en la última fase del cultivo y unificar su color.

El objetivo general de este trabajo se ha enfocado a validar y optimizar la eficacia de ciertas labores culturales como el riego deficitario controlado y los tratamientos foliares CSIC-Ca para mitigar la incidencia y gravedad de alteraciones fisiológicas como la mancha corchosa del melocotón tardío. Se ha perseguido reducir el destrío en central, sin mermar la calidad del producto, así como ampliar su vida útil poscosecha.
