Abstract

[EN] Using the alfalfa variety "Ranger", a trial was made for the purpose of studying the influence of the seeds inoculation with the aid of lucerne field soil. The length of 30 days old seedlings, the fresh root volume and the weight of dry roots on the end of the test, were analysed. The results seem to indicate that the influence of alfalfa seed inoculation with lucerne-field soil is remarkable. This influence is noticeable on the aerial part of the plant, as well as on the root system. On the other hand the effects of inoculation (treatment III) seem to be added (treatment IV) to this of fertilization (treatment II). Therefore, the use of lucerne-field soil can be recommended for the mass inoculation of alfalfa seed, prepared to be sown on the land where this plant was never before cultivated.
