Abstract

[EN] The sea level in the Mar Menor is forced by the adyacent Mediterranean improving its response with the period. The water interchange is done mainly through El Estacio being its geometry the one that imposes the hydraulic control conditions in transforming potencialenergy, sea level differences between seas, to cinetic, as currents in the canal. Tides, mainly diurnals, characterzie the high frecuency dynamics. By far, the atmospheric pressure is the main force agent in the energy transference from the atmosphere to the sea level far periods of days, with close to inverse barometer response.
