Abstract

La comunicación presenta un cúbito fracturado de Aquila chrysaetos (determinación Arturo Morales Muñiz) con representaciones grabadas de renos. Apareció durante el inventario de las colecciones procedentes de las excavaciones que la Comisión de Investigaciones Paleontológicas y Prehistóricas realizó en el primer tercio del siglo XX en yacimientos paleolíticos de la región cantábrica española. La sede de la Comisión fue el Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales, incorporado al Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas en 1939. En 1975, su director, Eugenio Ortiz, encargó el inventario a las autoras (http://digital.csic.es/handle/10261/108087). Otro de los resultados de esta tarea fueron las Tesis de Licenciatura de ambas, defendidas en 1976 (http://hdl.handle.net/10261/8697) y el libro colectivo multidisciplinar sobre el yacimiento paleolítico superior de la cueva asturiana de La Paloma donde Martínez Navarrete y Chapa Brunet (1980) publicaron las industrias lítica y ósea (http://hdl.handle.net/10261/339199).

El congreso se celebró en Vitoria los días 7-11 de octubre de 1975, organizado por la Secretaría General de los Congresos.
