Nouveautés sur l’épigraphie des amphores africaines tardives à Tipasa (Algérie)

Abstract

Le site archéologique de Tipaza, fouillé à plusieurs reprises depuis la fin du XIXème siècle, a délivré d’importantes quantités de matériel céramique. Conservé au musée du site, ce mobilier reste, pour la plupart, inédit jusqu’à présent. Dans le cadre d’un nouveau projet algéroespagnol, une équipe mixte du centre universitaire de Tipaza et de l’Université de Murcie, se propose d’analyser une partie de ces collections, afin de les caractériser et cerner leur provenance, usage et chronologie dans le territoire tipasitain. Dans cette première étude, les amphores type Keay 35B portant des marques feront objet d’une attention particulière. Par le biais d’une approche pluridisciplinaire intégrant les données typologiques et épigraphiques, cette contribution vise à apporter des nouvelles connaissances sur le répertoire des amphores africaines tardives à salaisons ainsi que sur la circulation des denrées alimentaires au Maghreb dans l’Antiquité tardive

Ce travail a été réalisé dans le cadre des projets algéroespagnols : TIPASA. Ocupación, producción y relaciones de interdependencia en el territorio de una ciudad africana durante la Antigüedad (T002020N0000045517), financié par le Ministère de la Culture (Espagne) et Misión arqueológica hispano-argelina en Tipasa: explorando el antiguo territorio de una ciudad africana Patrimonio de la Humanidad, financié par la Fundación Palarq (Espagne).
