[EN] Over the last few years of research in the East African Rift Valley, our team has investigated a relevant new Pleistocene sequence in Mieso (East-Central Ethiopia). This sequence includes paleontological and archaeological sites attributed to the Middle and Upper Pleistocene. The analysis of the Upper Pleistocene assemblages follows the publication of the Middle Pleistocene sequence (De la Torre et al., 2014; Benito-Calvo et al., 2014). This paper focuses on the study of the lithic technology of L6, one of the archaeological units excavated in the Mieso 41 site. This analysis includes a detailed characterization of the obsidian laminar technology at Mieso 41, and contributes to our understanding of early modern humans in East Africa.
