Transcriptional regulation of gamma/delta T cell antigen receptor.

Abstract

Los linfocitos T gd juegan un papel esencial en la respuesta inmunitaria mediante la rápida producción de grandes cantidades de citoquinas, teniendo gran importancia en la respuesta inmunitaria frente a determinados patógenos y en la protección en determinados lugares anatómicos. Estas células expresan un receptor de antígeno (T cell receptor, TCR) formado por las cadenas TCRg y TCRg capaz de reconocer antígenos no peptídicos. Además de esta función en defensa frente a determinadas infecciones, se han revelado otras importantes funciones para estas células en la homeostasis de tejidos, tales como en termogénesis, regeneración ósea y plasticidad sináptica. Sin embargo, el proceso de cómo estas células se generan y, en especial, cómo se regula la transcripción de los genes de las cadenas TCRg y TCRd durante el desarrollo no se ha clarificado hasta el momento. Nuestros datos indican que los potenciadores transcripcionales necesarios para la expresión de las cadenas TCRg y TCRg dependen de las señalizaciones mediadas por Notch (a través de RUNX1 y MYB) (PDMI:) e interleuquina 7 (a través de STAT5) durante el desarrollo de los linfocitos T gd.
