Divulgación en estudios árabes para un público no arabófono, ¿es una misión imposible?

Abstract

La presente comunicación tiene por objetivo dar a conocer la actividad divulgativa que se lleva a cabo en la Escuela de Estudios Árabes. En primer lugar, se realizará un recorrido panorámico por las actividades de divulgación que se han realizado en la EEA desde el inicio de la actividad científica, en 1932. En segundo lugar, se elaborará una reflexión sobre los aciertos, dificultades y debilidades de nuestra actividad y los retos para afrontar el futuro de la divulgación en estudios árabes. La comunicación hará especial hincapié en el cambio de paradigma que se ha producido en la EEA en los últimos años, que radica en dos aspectos fundamentales: 1. La ampliación de los objetivos de nuestra divulgación. Hemos pasado de centrarnos exclusivamente en dar a conocer las líneas de investigación de la EEA, lo que atraía a un público altamente formado (estudiantes universitarios, pares, etc.), a fomentar vocaciones científicas, dar a conocer el patrimonio material granadino o conceptos cotidianos de nuestro trabajo (diglosia, fotogrametría), explicar cómo se hace ciencia en Humanidades, por supuesto, sin olvidarnos de nuestras líneas. 2. La multiplicación del tipo de público al que se dirigen nuestras actividades, lo que ha generado una oferta de actividades muy diferentes (encuentros con científicos, micro-charlas, talleres, visitas, etc.). La finalidad de nuestra comunicación es motivar a otros investigadores en Humanidades a participar en la divulgación de sus investigaciones.
