Evolución de la textura en un material compuesto al- si3n4 deformado superplásticamente

Abstract

Se ha realizado un estudio de la evolución de la textura con la deformación (en tracción y a temperatura de 783 K) de un material compuesto con refuerzo discontinuo, Al(2124)- 20%volSi3N4. El objetivo de este estudio ha sido profundizar en los mecanismos de deformación que operan en este material compuesto para obtener un comportamiento superplástico. El material se obtuvo por una vía pulvimetalúrgica y en forma final de barra extruida. Las componentes principales de la textura eran las fibras y donde la dirección de fibra es paralela a la dirección de extrusión. Se ha observado un decaimiento continuo de la intensidad de estas componentes de textura hasta una deformación de 0.8. Esto sugiere que el mecanismo de deformación por frontera de grano, DFG, típico en el comportamiento superplástico de materiales policristalinos de grano fino, es predominante hasta un cierto valor de la deformación de este material, a partir de ese punto el mecanismo de deformación predominante es el deslizamiento cristalográfico.
