En este artículo se discuten de modo pedagógico algunos aspectos interesantes de la dinámica cúantica del oscilador armónico. En primer lugar, mostramos que tras un cuarto de periodo la función de onda se convierte esencialmente en su transformada de Fourier. A continuación presentamos los estados coherentes siguiendo el planteamiento original de Schrödinger y los utilizamos para visualizar la dinámica cúantica de un oscilador bidimensional en una situación que se parece mucho a la clásica. Finalmente, obtenemos de manera directa los estados coherentes del oscilador armónico forzado y discutimos algunas de sus propiedades.
