Nanostructured films with nanocolumns and nanoparticles: fundamentals and applications

Abstract

The authors acknowledge the service from the MiNa Laboratory at IMN and the financial support from the Fulbright Commission and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN) and grant PID2021-126524NB-I00 financed by MCIN/ AEI /10.13039/501100011033/ and, as appropriate, by “ERDF A way of making Europe”, by the “European Union”.

In this talk, it will be shown that nanostructured films with nanocolumns and nanoparticles can be fabricated using methods based on magnetron sputtering, which is of particular interest from an industrial point of view. Several applications of those films will also be presented.
