Abstract

[EN]The invention relates to a nucleic acid construction comprising a first nucleotide sequence capable of regulating the transcription of a second nucleotide sequence in a plant, said second nucleotide sequence comprising: (i) a nucleotide sequence corresponding to a fragment of the RNA1 of the Cucurbit yellow stunting disorder virus (CYSDV) and (ii) an inverted repeat of all or part of the aforementioned nucleotide sequence (i). The above-mentioned construction can be used to generate resistance against CYSDV in plants susceptible to infection by said virus.
