Panorama da produção conjunta entre Brasil e Espanha indexada na WoS entre 2006-2012: indicadores de atividade, especialização e colaboração

Abstract

Diferentes estudos apontam os benefícios da colaboração internacional na ciência, o que justifica investigação sobre as características de colaboração bilateral entre países. Neste trabalho, analisa-se a produção científica em colaboração entre Brasil e Espanha a partir dos dados recuperados na Web of Science (WoS) de 6117 documentos publicados conjuntamente pelos dois países entre 2006-2012. Foram calculados os seguintes indicadores bibliométricos: a) Atividade (número de documentos, tipologia e idioma); b) Especialização (categorias da WoS e agregação em grandes áreas temáticas; c) Colaboração bi e multilateral. Os dados mostram que, quando Espanha e Brasil publicam com outros países, são mais produtivos em Física (21%) e Medicina não-interna (20%). No entanto, a produção em colaboração bilateral destaca-se na área de Química. Os principais parceiros do Brasil e Espanha são os Estados Unidos, França, Reino Unido, Alemanha e Itália. Demonstrou-se que o percentual de documentos publicados em conjunto cresceu entre 2006 e 2012 mais do que a produção de cada país em separado, o que demonstra a importância da colaboração para ambos.
