Estudio de la sequía en Salamanca.

Abstract

[ENG]In this work the different definitions of drought were revised and the drought provocing causes were analyzed. The study has three fundamental parts: A new cquation to calculate evaporation was proposed; a drought index was applied; dry and humid periojs defined by'the index were compared with harvest yields. The drought index combines precipitation factors and potential evaporation, includ;ng the latter air humidity-and temperature and wind velocity. To explain the values obtained with the drought index, it had seen explained previously what is considered a normal, dry, very dry, humid, very humid and extremly dry and humid year. The years included in this study were clasified hy these criterions. Finely the year is divided in climatic instead of astronomic seasons.
