Abstract

[EN] In this article –that follows another one published in this same number of the journal– we have evaluated whether the physical space proposed for the battle of the Montes Transductinos, included in this volume, is consistent with the descriptions of the historical sources. Factors such as the number of troops and the landscape, among others, have been developed in this study. The new data allowed us to propose a new reconstruction of the battle, and also the previous and subsequent battle operations. The collected data indicate that the battle took place during a climate and social crisis, which allow us to reinterpret the testimonies of the historical chronicles.
