A través de este estudio se desgranan los rasgos teatrales que hallamos en la novela Las 120 jornadas de Sodoma, del Marqués de Sade. Partiendo de un análisis del micro-cosmos sadiano del castillo de Silling, construido sobre la perversión y la parodia, pasamos a diseccionar los habitantes de tan horripilante edificio. De este modo, se revisan las críticas sociales de Sade y las peculiaridades del sistema social propuesto en su novela, pero sin perder de vista su función como actantes de un, hasta cierto punto, drama novelado o una novela dramatizada.
