[ES] La aparición de los primeros objetos de cobre en la Meseta Norte se produce hacia el 3000 a.C., durante el Horizonte Las Pozas. Se trata mayoritariamente de productos locales obtenidos a partir de mineral/metal foráneo, ocasional-mente llegado desde el Cantábrico, Cataluña y Andalucía. La producción no parece excesivamente centralizada. Pero la convivencia en determinadas sepulturas individuales de objetos de cobre con otros inequívocos elementos de prestigio, como la variscita, revela que se trata de un bien de uso restringido
[EN] Copper artefacts first appeared in the Spanish Northern Plateau around 3000 BC, during the Las Pozas Horizon. They are mainly local products obtained from foreign ore/metal from the Cantabrian region, Catalonia and Andalusia. It seems that the production was fairly decentralised. However, their deposition in some individual tombs together with other prestige items, such as variscite, reveals that the use of copper objects was socially restricted
