Device for holding a sample inside an x-ray diffraction or dispersion chamber

Abstract

[EN] The device comprises a body (1) that is open at both ends, for holding the sample to be analysed, and radiation passage means (2) that pass through the body (1), through which means the X rays pass before and after interacting with said sample. The device has frrst means (5) for hermetically sealing the ends of the body (1), which keep the chamber (4) under vacuum by sealing off the space between the walls of said chamber (4) and the ends of the body (1), and means for sealing the radiation passage means (2), which isolate the atmosphere inside the body (1) from the vacuum in the chamber (4). According to a second embodiment, the device comprises a positioning system for positioning and orienting the sample, with a sample-holder (15) and means for aligning the sample-holder (15). In a foooh embodiment it incIudes a block (27) and the body (1) is a cover (28).
