Solución Geoespacial del Instituto Español de Oceanografía a las Campañas en la Erupción del Volcán de El Hierro

Abstract

The Spanish Oceanographic Institution (Instituto Español de Oceanografía: IEO) has developed a marine information viewer that is located in its official Web page (http://www.ideo-elhierro.ieo.es). This viewer shows the cartography, the results and interpretations related to the 12 Bimbache Surveys, which were leaded by the IEO from October 2011 to February 2012 in the Ramón Margalef Research Vessel. The main aim of this viewer, is to facilitate either the researchers or the geoscientific information users, an interactive display that can be used for the study of the eruptive process geomorphologic evolution. In addition it lets consult the bathymetries, ROV dives and trawl camera transects conducted during the surveys for scientific assessment of civil defense.
