Abstract

El di-n-butil ftalato ( uno de los ésteres de ftalatos ( más utilizados en industria debido a sus propiedades como plastificante Este compuesto se ha detectado en diversos hábitats como un contaminante, que además puede actuar como disruptor endocrino y se ha comprobado que tiene efectos teratogénicos Por ello, existe un creciente interés en la eliminación de DBP (y otros PAE) como contaminante emergente, siendo la degradación microbiana una de las estrategias más prometedoras.

Paenarthrobacter sp Shss es una cepa bacteriana aislada de un ambiente contaminado. Es capaz de romper el enlace éster del DBP y usar los productos de degradación como fuente de carbono Por ello, en este trabajo se plantea la identificación de las enzimas implicadas de este proceso.
