NOVEDADES TAXONOMICAS Y SINOPSIS DEL GÉNERO MELOCACTUS LINK & OTTO (CACTACEAE) EN COLOMBIA

Abstract

Se presenta una sinopsis de las especies colombianas del género Melocactus, que incluye 11 taxones (especies y subespecies), y una clave para la separación de los mismos. En el trabajo se describen tres especies y cuatro subespecies nuevas (M. andinus subsp. soatensis, M. curvispinus subsp. cucutensis, M. curvispinus subsp. saravianus, M. guanensis, M. hernandezii, M. pescaderensis y M. schatzlii subsp. chicamochae) y se proponen las nuevas combinaciones de M. curvispinus subsp. lobelii; M. curvispinus subsp. loboguerreroi y M. curvispinus subsp. obtusipetalus.
