Abstract

La Primera Convención Nacional sobre Cultivos Marinos en España (CONCUMAR-1) celebrada en Lanzarote del 3 al 8 de marzo de 1980 representa, a nuestro juicio, un importante avance para el desarrollo de la Maricultura en nuestro país. En la sesión del 4 de marzo en lo referente al cultivo de Moluscos Cefalópodos se concluyó que "sería conveniente intensificar la tarea investigadora sobre sepias, calamares y pulpos para conocer sus posibilidades reales de cultivo". El tema es actual, por ello nos ha parecido oportuno y útil exponer en un artículo de divulgación alguno de los conocimientos que actualmente se tienen sobre el cultivo de este grupo de organismos marinos a los que el autor dedica su atención desde 1973.
