Abstract

[EN] On October 28th, 1883 Manuel Morillo killed/assasinated his fiancee’s mother and hurt her father. Before comitting his crime, he wrote several letters threatening all of them to death. He also wrote a notebook in which he justified his forthcoming crime. The aim of this paper is to analyse Morillo’s writings as an space of construction of his own subjectivity. An analysis will also be provided of the different readings psychiatrists, judges and the press made of his writings and of how they constructed a pathological subject.
