Què és avui l´Arqueologia?

Authors: Criado Boado, Felipe;

Què és avui l´Arqueologia?

Abstract

[EN] Catalan version of an article published in the journal Cota Zero: revista d´Arqueologia i Ciència, 25, (Vic: Eumo Editorial, 2010), in a special issue commemorating 25 years of the journal (founded in 1985), pretending to be a file with a look back at these past 25 years, but also provide a future perspective. The issue contains contributions from 25 authors chosen for this special report both the varied specialties as their country of origin. The texts reflect the one hand, the memory that the magazine wants to offer its readers and raise the other, a debate over the next year on the challenges facing Archaeology. The article presents an overview of the status of Archaeology currently defined in fourteen statements that they consider their main problems and challenges. Prominent among these is the crisis of Commercial Archaeology, the need to combine multiple narratives in the interpretation, the desirability of establishing an orderly system of dialogue between these narratives, the interaction of archaeological projects with communities, building a Public Archaeology and the generation of new models of interaction with the environment and production of value in Archaeology.
