Abstract

[EN]Sanctuaries become the home for manifestations of politic legitimization and remembrance of heroic models. Iberian bronze offerings form Collado de los Jardines (Despeñaperros) and Los Altos del Sotillo (Castellar) sanctuaries confirm this fact: they present us with a legacy that is full of symbolism. Following the above line of thought we analyze an exvoto form the Gómez-Moreno collection that features the truncheon and the lion skin, two of Heracle's attributes.
