Abstract

[ES] Este Tesauro de Geología es el resultado de una colaboración entre el Centro de Información y Documentación Científica del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CINDOC-CSIC) y la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Constituye el trabajo de investigación de la Tesina de Fin de Máster de Información y Documentación en su VI edición. Para la elaboración de este Tesauro se ha partido del listado de términos relacionados con Ciencias de la Tierra procedente de la Base de Datos ICYT del CSIC. El periodo de cobertura de esta base es de 1979 hasta la actualidad. La finalidad de este Tesauro es estructurar la terminología utilizada en la disciplina de la Geología para ser utilizado en la Base de Datos ICYT como instrumento de control de vocabulario.

[EN] The Thesaurus of Geology is the result of a collaboration between the Centre for Scientific Information and Documentation of the Spanish National Research Council (CINDOC-CSIC) and Carlos III University of Madrid. It´s the final research report of the VI Master on Information and Documentation. This thesaurus has been done using the list of terms belonging to the Earth Sciences subheadings of CSIC ICYT database. This database covers from 1979 to now. The purpose of this thesaurus is to structure the terminology used in the geology domain of the database and use it as a tool for control of ICYT vocabulary.
