Alteración experimental en cloritas.

Abstract

[EN] Five chlorite samples with different chemical compositions and structural characteristiques have been chemically oxidated. When the alteration was carried out without frecuent replacement of the active solution, Mg and A1 (in the same order) have been the most moveables ions and Fe and Si, the least ones. Such facts assume an oxidation of Fe2+ -> Fe3+ followed by the removal of Mg and A1 from both octaedra1 layers. When the oxidant solution was replaced frecuently Fe was the element more readily dissolved. In this later case we assume the process Fe2+ -> Fe3+ induces the Fe3+ removing from the structure. In four samples (the lesser ferriforous ones) none vermiculitization process was detected. When the most ferriferous chlorite was essayed a mixed-layer structure chlorite-vermiculite like was developed by Bromide-water oxidation. At the en of the experiment the mixed-layer structure dissolved firstly and the chlorite afterwards, with the result of soley amorfous silica, as the ultimate product of the attack carried out.
