Abstract

[EN] Chlorites from postorogenic basins of Betic Cordilleres are studied through the behaviour of two parameters measured by X-Ray diffractometry: Tetrahedral A1 after measures of the basal spacing and heavy atoms content and distribution (by basal reflexion intensities relations). It is not observed significant variation trends in the A1IV, being the average tenure constant and near to 1,26. In the Granada basin the Fe content is related to the degree of weathering of the studied material. It decreases when the distance to the source area of the materials increases. In the same way it is lesser for chlorites of cement and soils than for those of the pebbles. For the pedogenic chlorites, a evident relation to the evolution degree of the soils has been shown. In the Guadix-Baza basin the Fe content is clearly related to the lithology and therefore to the sedimentation environment. In the fundamentally detrital series is lower than in those what have been deposited in a chemical environment with high ionic concentration and scanty or null replacement of solutions.
