Desde el año 2016, en nuestro país, la acuicultura supera en producción a la pesca extractiva. Cada vez, los productores y consumidores son más conscientes de la necesidad de que esta actividad se desarrolle de manera sostenible. Por ello, en el Instituto Español de Oeanografía, en sus centros de Gijón y planta de cultivos de Santander, estamos aislando bacterias lácticas (BAL) de origen marino con potencial probiótico en acuicultura marina.
