[EN] An empirical method, based on the variation of the ratios between the structure factors of the 004/003 and 004/005 basal reflexions, is proposed. This method takes into account not only presence of heavy atoms but also the chlorite di-trioctahedric character. In this sense, eleven experimental complex of curves has been developed, as a result of the calculations carried out. These curves correspond to five estructures with different d001. It assumed that the difference between these values corresponds to the length between the basal oxigens of the tetrahedral layer and the OH groups of the interlayer sheed. Finally, taking into account the errors that are introduced in the determination of the heavy atoms content, if the Lorent-polarization factors of the powder method are used, in this paper experimental factos are employed.
