In this study, 4 diets supplemented with microalgae biomass were tested in fry gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata). Feeds that included microalgae with two levels of inclusion (5% and 10%) and in two different formats (raw biomass and biomass prehydrolyzed with cellulase) were tested and compared with a control diet lacking microalgae. After a period of 40 days, the fish were sampled to analyze parameters of growth, survival and immune activities. Growth parameters and survival were not affected by the inclusion of microalgae in the diet. Nor did they affect the immune system activities analyzed in liver.
