Un modelo cinemático para la interpretación tridimensional de proyecciones poliédricas

Abstract

En este trabajo reducimos el análisis de la realizabilidad espacial de un dibujo lineal al estudio de las propiedades cinemáticas de una estructura de paneles articulados. Utilizando álgebra de Cayley, estudiamos el comportamiento cinemático instantáneo de este modelo y demostramos que un dibujo lineal es espacialmente realizable si y solo si la estructura tiene un movimiento infinitesimal que asigna ejes instantáneos de rotación distintos a cada par de paneles adyacentes. Además, el modelo permite recuperar todas las interpretaciones espaciales. Este procedimiento presenta diversas ventajas frente al conocido algoritmo de Sugihara [12]: es más simple, de menor coste computacional, y sólo requiere conocer qué segmentos del dibujo son oclusivos.
