Macrosonic emiter with vibrating plate comprising internodal zone separators and reflectors which can be used to obtain directional radiation in fluids.

Abstract

[EN]The invention relates to a type of macrosonic radiator comprising: a flexurally-vibrating rectangular plate which is excited by a piezoelectric, magnetorestrictive or other type of vibrator; and an auxiliary structure consisting of separators and reflectors which are used to phase the acoustic radiation emitted by the different internodal sectors and by both faces of the vibrating plate, thereby producing a directional emission. In this way, a highly mechano-acoustic-efficient directional acoustic emitter is produced with a high power capacity (depending on the dimensions of the plate). Said type of design is suitable for air emission within a frequency range of 0 to 20 kHz and for water emission within a range of 0 to 100 kHz, where the stepped vibrating plate emitters pose difficulties as a result of the increased size of step lambda /2 required.
