Abstract

El presente trabajo se centra en el estudio de las propiedades magnéticas de microhilos mono y bifásicos con geometrías y composiciones novedosas. En particular, destaca la obtención mediante solidificación rápida de muestras con radio metálico submicrométrico así como diversas combinaciones formadas por un núcleo y un recubrimiento blando. En aquellas muestras con comportamiento magnético biestable se ha estudiado el control del campo de switching mediante acoplamiento dipolar y la influencia de la relajación de la estructura amorfa en la dinámica de una pared de dominio. Por otro lado, se ha analizado en detalle el espectro de resonancia ferromagnética en un hilo conductor ferromagnético en función de su radio, de la simetría del campo excitador de microondas y de la longitud de penetración del campo electromagnético, demostrando como evoluciona la condición de resonancia a medida que la sección transversal se acerca a la nanoescala. Finalmente, se ha explorado el uso de algunos de estos sistemas como núcleos de sensores de campo magnético de tipo coil-less fluxgate.

Este trabajo se ha realizado con ayuda de una beca de Formación de Profesorado Universitario (FPU) del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, dentro del Grupo de Nanomagnetismo y Procesos de Imanación del ICMM-CSIC.

Tesis Doctoral leída en diciembre de 2010 en el Departamento de Física de la Materia Condensada de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
