Abstract

Tras una breve introducción en que se da cuenta de las circunstancias en que se produjo el triunfo de la revuelta comunera en Madrid, el autor centra su atención en la identificación de los principales dirigentes del movimiento comunero en esta villa, agrupándolos por su procedencia social. Y a continuación se ocupa de la caracterización de los miembros de la sociedad política madrileña que prestaron su apoyo a la causa del rey.
