Ras-ERK pathway is implicated in multiple celular functions like proliferation, differentiation, migration, motility, adhesion or survival. The desregulation of some of these processes can cause cancer, and it is known that almost 50% of human tumor have activated mutations in some members of this cascade. The principal components of this pathway are RAS, RAF, MEK and ERK proteins, including their isoforms.
