[EN] The present job is pretending to analyze the origins and the development of the Communitary Psychiatry in France from their first theoretical formulations in the 2nd Post War up to his legislative translation in the Letter on the Sector of 1960. It is being tried to see how the incorporation of principies of Public Health to the attendance of the mental patient has served to overcome the insane asylum as an axis of the psychiatric care and also a critical value of the work of proffessionals in such assitential changes.
