Abstract

Microcavidades ópticas y esponjas fotónicas, procedimiento de producción y sus aplicaciones en la fabricación de dispositivos fotónicos. La invención describe una microesfera de silicio con diámetro entre 0.1 y 50 micras capaz de funcionar como una microcavidad óptica con modos resonantes tipo Mie para longitudes de onda comprendidas entre 1 y 15 micras, y una esponja fotónica constituida a partir de ellas. La obtención de la misma se lleva a cabo por un método sencillo basado en la descomposición por calentamiento de los precursores gaseosos. El uso de estas microesferas y esponjas fotónicas reside en la fabricación de dispositivos fotónicos, por ejemplo, células solares, fotodiodos, láseres y sensores.
