Abstract

Este trabajo ofrece la traducción y el análisis de la introducción de Ibn `Abd al-Malik al-Marrakusî a su repertorio biográfico Al-Dayl wa-l-takmila. En el prólogo de su obra Ibn `Abd al-Malik expone detalladamente el método historiográfico que sigue en ella, en el que introduce una serie de novedades con respecto a los procedimientos utilizados por sus predecesores. La idea que subyace en toda su exposición va ligada al afán que demuestra el autor por conferirle a su obra un mayor rigor científico, así como por hacerla más manejable y asequible, con el fin de facilitar la labor del lector
