El ritmo de los relatos : las narraciones épicas desde la escena (a propósito de I La Galigo, de Robert Wilson)

Abstract

La creación escénica de las últimas décadas parece haberse sentido especialmente atraída por antiguas narraciones épicas; y lo interesante no es únicamente constatar dicha relación, sino resaltar que, como resultado de ello, se han escrito algunas de las páginas más destacadas de la historia teatral de la segunda mitad del siglo XX, como Orghast o el Mahabharata, ambas dirigidas por Peter Brook. La pregunta inicial que motiva este ensayo se refiere a esas afinidades que explican esta estrecha vinculación entre el mundo antiguo de los viejos poemas épicos y la escena contemporánea.
